| After all these years Kid met his end as a jobber(for the time being). He's as ballsy/overconfident as Luffy, yet with the added cockiness and lack of plot armor he comes across as delusional. So I can't hate him for pushing his luck when Luffy had countless reckless moments as well(however Luffy usually had better reasons and he knew when to run) Not to mention that he and his crew really had it coming for the atrocities they commited. Crucifiying pirates for being too was one of them. Shanks is like the polar opposite as proven by his fleet. Furthermore, compared to the other Yonkou the devotion from his underlings is the real deal. He even inquired about Kid's condition. For a pirate who "rules" as an Emperor(more like protects) he's pretty noble and humble until you gun for the folks he's responsible for. One of the few things you really don't want to do. That's when his aura changes. Really loved his portrayal here. If there's one character Oda wanks more than Zoro it's Shanks. From meeting Whitebeard to ending the war of the best at Marineford and scaring away Ryokyugu. This man has truly been his golden boy since chapter one. Insane Future Sight and advanced Haoshoku feat. Unlike Big Mom he didn't play around in the slightest. It's nice that he's using the same signature move as Roger and the anime imo showed it even more clearly that this isn't a traditional cutting technique and more a like a Haki blow enhanced with a sword. Kid's railgun literally exploded. That's most likely what differentiates his sword play from Mihawk's which is all about cutting. Don't get me wrong I have both of them pretty much as equals in a 1vs1, but Shanks should be more powerful overall based on his portrayal. Still think Kaido was stronger since he was an durability and endurance monster, same goes for Big Mom, but Shanks being in the same league with weaklings under his umbrella shows how much he and his officers carry. Very happy with the adaptation here. Kid's part looked dope as well. I mean he looked about as dope as a man getting one-shotted could look like. I feel bad about Killer who went out as collateral damage. Bro just tried saving his captain, but in the end he couldn't protect him from himself. That's fucking rough lmao  Kid Pirates as a whole weren't allowed to shine either after their big talk in order to establish Shanks dominance. It's sad, really that this was their last stand. Heart Pirates definitely had a more forgiving enemy with Blackbeard. Speaking of Blackbeard, while I think that Shanks would smoke his ass in a regular head on fight it's pretty obvious who should come out on top. I wonder how Oda will do this. Blackbeard could resort to a trick or maybe he has an ace up his sleeve. Having Kuzan in his crew may give him the edge, even tho Shanks top men have the better balance as a whole. Then there's Beckman who's supposedly the strongest right hand man from the OG Yonkou. |

| Let the carnival begin! You already know shit's about to go down when they not only skip the recap, but they also pull out that 16:9 aspect ratio right off the bat. They over here cutting back to York as if we care what about this glutton when just seconds prior we see Shanks AND Kidd. Thankfully she had limited screentime this episode, so we can get into the MAIN EVENT. But ofc we got the introduction of these goofy ass pirates first. You know it's goofy when they pull out that goofy ass One Piece OST lol. Goofiness aside, because from here it's just straight kino. As much as I despise Kidd, I have to give it to him, that DAMNED PUNK, was fucking crazy. Dude knocked out almost all the fodder ships in sight. Ofc, an attack like that would attract Shanks, to not only have the coldest attack ever, DIVINE FUCKING DEPATURE. As if the Kidd pirates begging on their knees wasn't enough though, THE RED HAIR PIRATES pulls out YET ANOTHER ATTACK, THAT FUCKING HAKOKU. Safe to say that'll be the last we'll see of Kidd, for a while, IF ever. Sasuga Red Hair Pirates. |

cinema piece moment goddamn and being one of the most anticipated episodes of this arc, it was adapted amazingly. shanks was moving like crazy, bro one-tapped kidd with roger's move; divine departure! even kidd got his moment tbf with sakuga flexing. but shanks is just HIM. this episode even made me feel kinda bad for kidd's crew being eradicated, unlike in the manga where i was hyped lmao. dorry and broggy got their moment too when they wacked tf out of the kidd pirates. york scheming with the seraphims was also well done, just a peak episode all round. also the griffin aura for shanks' because his sword is called gryhpon was a cool touch, similar to zoro's aura being a dragon.  |

| Divine Departure! Been waiting to see it since the manga. Kid & Killer one tapped by Shanks. Killer knew they couldn't handle Shanks. It's like Kid forgot Kaido and Big Mom damn near killed him and Law was there. How many years since we saw Dory and Brogy'a Hakoku? Beautiful. The end reminded me of Jurassic Park. Shanks is the t-rex of pirates! |

| This goes to show how much of a threat Yonko really is once again. We all thought it will be a big battle. But we all need to understand. The only reason why Luffy, Law, and Kidd won against Kaido and Big Mom is because they had each other’s help, along with Wano’s forces. Kidd lost an arm when facing a crew you out Shanks being there. Now Shanks shows up sees a threat, and dealt with it like swatting a fly. And this is Suanks with one arm and no devil fruit. Just a Sword and Haki alone. |

Shanks saw a bad future for his allies and locked the FUCK in. If you come for the king, you better not fucking miss. And after getting his ass CLAPPED by Divine Departure, they decide to add insult to injury with that Dorry/Brogy Hakoku. My god, this could not have been more perfect. I've been waiting for this moment for so long and they did it beautifully. Pure unadulterated peak. Oh yea that reminds me that this is the point in the Egghead arc where we leave Egghead for like 10 straight chapters to see a variety of other shit happening around the world. |

| Shanks didn't just destroy kid, he ended this man's entire piracy career. This is the first time I think in OP history where a major character was eradicated to the point of being dropped out of the one piece race. Shanks after reading the reports about kids exploits in the NW and how he caused much civilian casualities, reaffirmed to him what kind of guy kid is and this kind of angered him. Then when shanks saw a future where kid was attempting to do the same thing with the loss of life under his protection, this is when shanks took action to dismantle the threat permenantly. Shanks is a man that is a pirate but he has a code of honor and respect for people below him, he will go to great lengths to protect civilians of the world, beacuse he has respect and admiration for the victims trapped in this engless cycle of conflict. |

| Incredible episode, this is why nobody mess with Shanks, Shanks just showcased top tier haki for all 3 types, observation, armament and conqueror in one episode. The fact that he's known to have the weakest allies shows how much stronger his crew is compared to the other yonkous. Loved the movie quality atmosphere throughout the episode. I am so excited for the Hachinosu event that's coming really soon. |

| Shanks giveth and he taketh! I've been waiting for this moment for a while since Egghead started and it did not disappoint. Kid just didn't have the facilities for this. I remember there being an emotional scene with Killer asking Shanks to spare Kid? Maybe not. And they thought they could just ask one of the Yonkos to spare their lives after coming to his territory and attacking his allies? Thank fuck Dorry and Broggy had their moment as well. The next episode is probably gonna bring me to tears if it focuses on Law😭 |

He got too overconfident after their victory against Big Mom although he didn't really defeat Big Mom all by himself, because Kid and Law were teaming up. Now Kid believes he can take on Shanks this time? Didn't he lose his arm before he even got to face Shanks last time? | @LunyRem Yeah this is a very critical junctior for Kid and its quite bold by oda to have a major character like that drop out of the one piece race. I don't see this as just an ordinary defeat, this man lost it all. Everything! It is going to be interesting where his arc will go from here and I suspect we will find out once luffy and crew make it to the shores of elbaf. But I wouldn't be suprised if he's doing slave labor or something for the giants, picking up trash along the coastline. |
