On [[6 June]] [[1964]], ''[[A Hard Day's Night (film)|A Hard Day's Night]]'', the first movie starring the Beatles, was released in the United Kingdom. Directed by [[Richard Lester]], the film is a mockumentary of the four members as they make their way to a London television programme. In June 1965, [[Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom|Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II]] appointed the four Beatles Members of the Order of the British Empire, [[Member of the Order of the British Empire|MBE]].
